  • Where do I get picked up from?

Highland Lakes Marina - located just 30 min from downtown Austin!

THE MARINA CHARGES AN ENTRY FEE that is paid directly to them!

This entry fee is $10 per car, or $50 for a large party bus OR Fetii.

We will have blue cones set up by the boat ramp with your name on it. Follow the blue cones and signs to the meet-up point.

Please arrive 30 min prior to your sail start time!

  • Can I get a boat without a captain?

Unfortunately not. All of our boats are driven by our captains for your convenience and safety.

  • How can I tip the captain and deck crew?

You can tip directly on our website when making a payment in full, or you can always tip in cash, venmo, or cash app on the day of your sail.

  • How old are the boats in the fleet?

Alpha Boat Rentals prides itself on having the nicest, newest, and best maintained boats on Lake Travis. All of our boats are 2019 Model Year or newer, with most being model year 2021. Let us know if you have any questions on our fleet!

  • How long is the charter for?

All of our charters are 4 hours long! If you’d like to be on the water for longer, please reach out to our team and we will do our best to see what we can do!

  • What happens if I am running late?

Due to limited dock space, if you have not arrived within 30 min of your scheduled departure time without notifying us at least 1 hour prior that you will be late, you agree to forfeit your payment in its entirety.

Please call us if you will be late!

  • What toys come with the boat?

All of our boats come equipped with a bluetooth stereo, empty Yeti cooler, and a lily pad for your groups convenience.

  • What should I bring?

Ice, drinks, snacks, sunscreen, towels, shades, and hats. We will provide an empty cooler for your convenience. We can also pick up ice on the water after your group has boarded.

Ice and water can be purchased as an add-on at checkout for your convenience.

  • I just paid my deposit. When is the remainder due?

Thanks for trusting Alpha Boat Rentals for your trip! Your card which was used for the deposit will automatically be charged 7 days before your sail date.

  • Large Group Policy

Renting 2 or more of our boats or have a group of 24 or more? To make your charter easier, we will automatically charge 20% tip. This can be paid in advance, or with cash on your charter day.

  • Do you go to Devils Cove?

Yes!

  • Can I bring alcohol on board?

Yes! But no glass bottles allowed!

  • Can I smoke on board?

We are a strictly non-smoking fleet!

However, We do allow vaping!

  • Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes! All of our guest must sign the waiver, which can be done on-site before boarding or anytime online.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel more than 14 days ahead of time to get a complete refund. Anything within 14 days and you agree to forfeit your deposit or payment in its entirety.

  • What if there are children under 14?

You must let us know so that we can provide the appropriate lifejackets!

  • What happens if there is bad weather?

WE DON’T CANCEL BASED ON THE FORECAST!

Cancellations due to severe weather are determined on your rental day. If there is severe or unsafe weather, we will refund you 100% of your booking amount, minus a $107.65 service fee. We will also re-schedule you at no charge if you wish. Cold weather does not mean unsafe!
